  1. I am a new payroll clerk and have tons of questions, can you help me?
  2. Whenever you have questions and can't find the answer, contact our office and we will be happy to help you. Also, if you are a new clerk we will need to change the name of our contact person for your agency. Make sure your contact information is updated on-line.

  3. Our agency's mailing address has changed. What do I need to do?
  4. Please submit, in writing, the change of address for your agency. Provide the old and new address and the name of the contact person (payroll clerk). If you are a web reporter you may update your contact name, phone and e-mail address online through the MPERA Online Reporting system. However, you must still submit address changes in writing.

  5. What type of plan are the retirement systems?
  6. Currently the retirement plans administered by the Public Employees Retirement Board are 401(a), Defined Benefit and 457, Defined Contribution plans.

  7. One of our employees has passed away. Do I need to do anything?
  8. Yes, contact our office immediately. If possible, please provide the name and address of a family member, beneficiary, or agent we may contact.

    Also, if you know of a retiree who has passed away, please contact us. Many beneficiaries do not realize that they need to contact us.

  9. Insurance rates are changing. How do I change the rate withheld for retirees?
  10. Rate changes must be made on a photocopy of the Monthly Insurance Premium Withholding List provided by the MPERA. Indicate the appropriate changes, sign and date the report, and return to the MPERA office. Changes must be received before the 15th of each month. DO NOT send change adjustments to our office more than 30 days prior to the date of the change.

  11. I forgot my username and/or password for employer web reporting.
  12. Usernames do not change and they will always start with "WEB…" Both your username and password are case sensitive so be sure your Caps Lock key is not on. If you enter the wrong username/password more than three times, you will be locked out. If this happens, contact MPERA and we will reset your password.

  13. My internet shut down while I was inputting.
  14. After you regain your internet connection, log back in to the MPERA Web Reporting page and access your existing report by entering your employer number and clicking on the Payroll Status button. Then, click on the blue words that say "Click Here".

  15. I report on-line and loaded the wrong file.
  16. Do not authorize your ACH payment. Instead, contact MPERA and request that your file be deleted from the website.
